Social Login Settings

TutorPro GOLD allows users to login with social network accounts. At the moment, it supports six (6) social networks that visitors can use to login, but these are not enabled by default. In fact, when you install the application, these are all turned off. To enable social login for any social network, you will need to provide the api keys for that social network. These settings are found in the .env file under the SOCIAL LOGIN section. Simply enter the corresponding CLIENT_ID and CLIENT_SECRET for the social network you want to activate, and the application will automatically use turn that social login on. If you do not want to use a particular social network for login, you can turn it off by simply leaving the api credentials for that network blank. These are the variables that you need to set to enable social login:

FACEBOOK_CLIENT_ID=246792729148491

Configuring Disqus Comments

While you are updating social network credentials, you might also want to update the DISQUS commenting system. DISQUS is a comment system that allows users to comment on blog posts. You can turn it off if you do not want comments on your blog posts by setting the value of DISQUS_ENABLES=false. But if you set this to true, then you have to provide the name of the DISQUS app (or disqus shortname) you want to use for commenting. Go to Disqus to see how to get your app set up
